The BTS ARMY and K-pop fans cannot contain their excitement as Park Ji-min’s track Like Crazy from his recent album Face was declared the best K-pop song of the year by Billboard. The song garnered a whopping 2.59 million streams on Spotify as of June 22, 2023, further solidifying its popularity.
Jimin’s album FACE itself achieved an astonishing milestone, surpassing a mind-blowing 1 billion streams on Spotify in a mere 393 days. Furthermore, this achievement also surpassed his fellow bandmate Jungkook, who reached the same milestone in 409 days.
As part of Jimin’s FACE album, the song Like Crazy emerged as a chart-topper, captivating listeners with its vibe.

After BTS announced a break from their group activities at the BTS Festa dinner in 2022, all the members decided to venture into their individual careers. With J-hope, Suga, Jin, and RM releasing their solo tracks, Jimin also announced a full-fledged album FACE on March 24, 2023.
The album included six tracks: Face-off, Interlude: Dive, Like Crazy, Alone, Set Me Free Pt.2, and Like Crazy (English Version), among which Set Me Free Pt.2 was the title track. However, Like Crazy ended up being the highest-grossing track and received recognition worldwide.

Entertainment Company SoundCloud has achieved the record of Most tracks on a music streaming service as it had a catalogue of more than 300 million tracks by January 2023, which included licensed music and user-generated content.
Jimin’s song “Promise” became SoundCloud’s most popular track ever, with 327 million streams as of January 2023. The song was also SoundCloud’s most streamed track in first 24 hours with 8.5 million plays as of January 2023.
SoundCloud was established in 2007 by Eric Wahlforss, an electronic musician, and Alexander Ljung, a sound designer, both hailing from Sweden. It was officially launched in October 2008. This platform is widely recognized for being instrumental in launching the careers of renowned artists like Chance the Rapper, Juice WRLD, and Post Malone. Notably, Post Malone gained traction after uploading his debut single titled “White Iverson” (2015) to his SoundCloud profile, which eventually led to him securing a deal with Republic Records.
SoundCloud has 76 million active monthly users and 30 million creators who are heard across 190 countries.
Recently, South Korean band BTS of which Jimin is a part completed 10 years of their musical journey. The band comprises of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. On the 10th anniversary, Jimin acknowledged fans’ support in an emotional post. Addressing BTS army, he shared, “I’ve told you ARMYs a few times already, it’s not easy to support and love someone and give them strength for no particular reason. That is why I am able to understand how happy we are. You, who made us feel this way, should feel overflowing happiness and receive love. You must. Understand? ARMY, whom I am always thankful to and love, Let’s be happy for a long long time.”
BTS is turning the page with Beyond The Story, a special book to mark the K-pop superstars’ 10th anniversary.
Beyond The Story : 10-Year Record Of BTS is slated for release July 9, to coincide with “ARMY day,” and unwraps around interviews with BTS, according to BigHit Music.
The book “demonstrates their effort, hardship, and growth starting from the band’s first gathering to becoming the 21st century pop icons,” reads a statement. “The changes and progress in the K-pop industry are also discussed in it.”
To build the buzz, BigHit Music shares an official trailer which breaks down the band’s journey in seven chapters: “Seoul”, “Why We Exist”, “Love, Hate, Army”, “Inside Out”, “A Flight That Never Lands”, “The World Of BTS” and “We Are”.
Watch to the end and you’ll spot seven glowing lines, symbolizing the seven-strong band — RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook.
The book will be published in 23 languages including Korean, English, with pre-orders now open.

To celebrate their milestone 10th anniversary, the Bangtan Boys gifted ARMY a live performance music video on Tuesday, June 13 for their latest single “Take Two,” which dropped last week. “Take Two” serves as BTS’ second musical release of the year; on May 12, the lads released “The Planet,” a single for the Bastions soundtrack.
Also, the BTS 10th Anniversary FESTA will kick off on Saturday, June 17 in Seoul, South Korea. The event, which will be open to the public and held on Yeouido, is set to turn the entire country purple — from Dongdaemun Design Plaza to the Lotte World Tower.
Since exploding out the blocks a decade ago, BTS has emerged as one of the most popular groups of their generation. Along the way, they’ve smashed records and earned six No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including the Grammy-nominated singles “Dynamite” and “Butter.” On the Billboard 200, the group has scored six No. 1 titles in just five years.
